SMEPS Mobile for Android was created to address the limitations of the existing SMEPS application. Maintenance workers are currently dependent on fixed workstations to supply them with instructions and an interface to log and complete their tasks. SMEPS Mobile allows for freedom of movement outside of assembly and maintenance areas. It is designed to integrate with SMEPS and allow access to standard missile maintenance history and assign maintenance procedures that require implementation. SMEPS Mobile provides workers only the information needed for their current job thus limiting access to sensitive data should a tablet be lost or destroyed.
