Security and Privacy Protection on IoT Devices

HOSS is a web application that scans a network for all connected devices. HOSS will utilize the NMAP API to scan and retrieve the list of devices within the user’s network. After retrieving the list, HOSS will cross-reference its own database with historical data regarding the security/privacy settings of each device. After HOSS cross-references the database, it compiles and aggregates two security scores. One score is for the privacy of each listed device, and the other is for the security of each device.  These scores are provided to the user, along with a summary on why each device received the score along with recommendations on improving the security/privacy of each device which was flagged with concerns
