VISION STATEMENT
The NAVSEA GovApp Store is designed to simplify access and viewing of officially sanctioned apps in order to facilitate the mission of the personnel of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The vision of this project is to develop an app store through which NAVSEA personnel, app developers, and app store managers may efficiently access apps from the GovApp Store. Great emphasis is placed on the ease of use for the end user, as well as providing adequate security in order to be an effective tool for NAVSEA.

SOFTWARE PURPOSE
The NAVSEA GovApp Store gives users a convenient one-stop official and secure location for the downloading and updating of apps. The GovApp Store is accessed by the user through a store front app installed on the target tablet. Additionally, the GovApp Store will provide a web interface for developers and managers to use as needed.

SOFTWARE SCOPE
The NAVSEA GovApp Store platform will be used by end users, developers, and managers. It is assumed that they all will have the basic computer knowledge and skills necessary to use this software package.

SOFTWARE PERSPECTIVE
The end user will see NAVSEA GovApp Store as an easy to use source for official software related to the performance of their duties. They will be able to search for relevant apps using many parameters. The user will be restricted to only search through apps that have been approved by a manager. A manager will also be able to query the system and allow for the search to be conducted among unpublished and archived apps as well. In addition, managers are tasked with evaluating and approving apps submitted by developers.
