Computer Science scheduler
This project will assist students in creating their academic planners that consist of the necessary courses needed to graduate. The project will be developed as a web app and eventually as a mobile application. The web app can help freshman develop their academic planners by providing them a list of roadmaps based on the courses they have already taken, if any. If no classes were taken, then the app will create an initial roadmap and the student has the option to edit the roadmap. The students can also view through the classes and experiment with schedules to see what is best for them. This app is to help the student visualize their academic career and help them graduate on time by helping them take the courses needed. * Project description as requested by the Customer. *
Currently students need to make an appointment with advisor to go over their academic class schedule for the time they will be attending school. From first year to senior, the Computer Science Class Scheduler(CS2) is an online and mobile alternative
CS2 include the following features.
- CS2 will create a list of classes the student should take from first year to senior year (a roadmap).
- CS2 allows returning and transfer students to input classes already taken to give a roadmap accurate to the remaining classes needed to graduate.
- CS2 allows the student to make changes to the roadmap and will update the remaining classes to the roadmap.
- CS2 allows the student to visualize the progress by showing completed and courses that need to be finished in the same page.
- CS2 allows administrators to add/edit/delete courses.
- CS2 allows administrators to edit a student’s roadmap.
Once deployed CS2 will allow students to create their academic roadmaps but not enroll them into the classes.
