NAVSEA Project

Weapon Impact Scoring Set(WISS) is a training system designed to improve aircrew proficiency in the delivery of air-to-ground ordnance. The WISS is designed to accurately measure the impact location of air-delivered ordnance with respect to the target’s center of origin.  The WISS is capable of scoring impacts on a variety of target types including but not limited to tanks, planes, and buildings.

WISS allows the user to examine the impact through a video archive and real time view map.  The user will be able to add, edit, delete and view missions as well as the ability to customize tactics and weapons.  WISS is a centralized database for the scheduling of missions and the evaluation of weapons and munitions strikes for aircraft from local or non-local airbases.

WISS uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.  Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 is used to build the web application.  The web application is used to gather and display information including pilots, squadrons, aircrafts, tactics, weapons and etcetera. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 is used to store information of all the personnel and equipment.
